Still on holiday, but just to tide you over (and how I know you're all gagging for more), I got given the book of Out of the Ashes to review a while back. Some interesting stuff in there, even if you've seen the film.
Yup, it was an ex-Telegraph editor who got me the gig. I do a couple of pieces a month - they pay well and there's quite a lot of editorial freedom (as long as you don't swear or talk about boobies).
How did you end up doing a piece for the National? That's a bit random. It's mostly staffed by ex PA and Telegraph hacks.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty good. They didn't edit much out of that review - like I say, mostly references to sex and swearing they knock out.
